Good design doesn’t have to be expensive. The focus of the design for the complete renovation of this house was on applying excellent design and craftsmanship to ordinary materials to make something that is both functional and elegant through simplicity. Simple materials have a special honesty to them, but it has to be done right, sometimes that takes more than one try. This client firmly believed that just because something is usually done one way doesn’t mean it can’t be done a completely different way, even if, at first, it sounds crazy. |
