Frey Table
Douglas Fir, Pigmented and Polished Concrete 29”H x 42”W x 84”L Nothing speaks West Coast quite like Douglas Fir. This rustic modern table was designed to utilize a 90-year-old fir tree that was growing on the client’s property. The tree had a significant lean to it and had to be removed as it was a danger to the house. The tree grew in extremely rocky soil and so had access to very little in the way of nutrients. As a result it grew very slowly and yielded very hard wood for a Douglas fir of it’s age. We milled the wood on-site, had it kiln dried locally, and built in our own studio. You’ve heard of the 100 mile diet. This is the 100 yard table. A slab of polished concrete along the center of the table contains beach glass collected by the clients from beaches explored over a lifetime of travels. |
Our workshop and studio is typically open M-F 9-5 unless we are out on an install. |
